Access control for businesses, activities and properties

Clear permissions, practical entrances.

Managing entrances means deciding who can enter an area, at what times and with which permissions. NetCom Security Group designs access control as a dedicated service in Verona and province, the Valpolicella and Lake Garda, and for owners and professionals working from abroad.

Every project starts with a site survey: doors, passages and existing systems are examined before any device is proposed.

Every area has different needs

The main entrance, offices, warehouses, workshops and reserved rooms have different functions and users. The project starts from these differences: authorised people, routes, schedules and how access is managed day to day. The aim is to organise entrances coherently with the activity, with rules that are clear to the people who use and manage the system.

People

Staff, suppliers and visitors

A colleague may need the offices, a maintenance technician a technical room for a set period, a supplier only the agreed entrance. Where the system supports it, profiles and permissions turn these needs into rules that are easy to manage.

Existing doors

Starting from what is already there

Often the project can start from the existing doors, after checking their features and how well they can be integrated. During the survey we examine doors, locks, passages and available systems.

Integration

Alarm and video surveillance

Coordinating access with the alarm and video surveillance can make openings, authorised presences and alerts easier to read. Functions depend on the installed equipment.

A project based on the real property

During the survey we examine gates, doors and existing systems. Together we define the access needs and assess possible integrations with other security systems. Devices and functions are specified in the proposal, after the context has been checked.

Questions about access control

Can access control be installed on the doors I already have?

Often the project can start from the existing gates, after checking their characteristics and how well they can be integrated. During the survey NetCom examines doors, locks, passages and available systems, together with the needs of the people who use them. From this we define the work required and the functions that can be achieved. The proposal shows which entrances to manage and how to fit them into the daily running of the property.

How are entrances organised between staff, suppliers and visitors?

We start from the areas and hours each user actually needs. A colleague may need the offices, a maintenance technician a technical room for a defined period, a supplier only the agreed entrance. In systems that support these functions, profiles and permissions turn the needs into manageable rules. The project also identifies who updates permissions when roles or needs change.

Is it better to use badges, codes or credentials on a phone?

The choice depends on who passes through the gate, how often, and how simple you want management to be. A badge can suit frequent passages; a code or a digital credential can be considered for other uses, if the system supports them. NetCom compares these needs with the characteristics of the property, so that the proposed solution is practical both for users and for whoever administers access.

Is it easy to update a permission when a person or a role changes?

A system chosen for this need lets you act on individual permissions according to the available functions. The reference person can update areas and hours or revoke the credential concerned, following the agreed procedure. Defining these steps during the project makes staff changes, temporary collaborations and lost credentials easier to handle. It helps to keep an up-to-date list of users and to check the effect of changes on the gates involved.

What are the benefits of coordinating access with the alarm and video surveillance?

Coordination can make the management of openings, authorised presences and alerts clearer. An expected entry to a protected area can be linked to the logic agreed with the alarm; images can help verify an event when the integration allows it. The proposal defines links and functions based on the systems in place. Every action is tied to the correct gate and to the operating needs of the business.
