Bullet-resistant ballistic doors made to measure

NetCom Security Group

Ballistic doors at BR5 and BR6 level for villas, offices and sensitive premises: frame and wall at the same level, installed by our own technicians. Verona and all of Italy.

This page covers made-to-measure supply. For the full picture, see vault doors and armoured doors made to measure.

Ballistic doors: NetCom Security Group supplies and installs, with its own technicians, bullet-resistant doors at BR5 and BR6 level for villas, professional practices, company premises and sensitive environments.

A ballistic door withstands gunfire, not only break-in attempts. We work in Verona, throughout Italy and, on a project basis, in Europe.

What a ballistic door is

A ballistic door combines structure, cladding and lock to resist a precise threat. The level of protection is expressed by a rating: NetCom offers doors at BR5 and BR6 level. The right level depends on the risk scenario and is decided together.

Armoured door of a strongroom

Ballistic, security and armoured doors

01Security doorProtects against break-in, with a resistance class. See vault doors and armoured doors.
02Ballistic doorAdds bullet resistance at a declared level.
03Armoured door and vault doorCloses a room holding high-value assets. See vault doors and armoured doors.

They can be combined: a safe room may call for a door that resists break-in, bullets and fire. The design says which combination is needed.

When it is really needed

It is not the choice for every home. We consider it when the risk is more serious than break-in: sensitive premises, exposed practices, people with particular protection needs, safe rooms and panic rooms (safe rooms and panic rooms). The level is decided on the real scenario, with you, and written into the proposal.

Installation of an armoured door on site

The door alone is not enough

01Frame and fixingsThey must have a level suited to the door.
02WallA weak wall cancels the advantage of a strong door.
03Glazing and transparent partsThey have a classification of their own.
04Lock and openingWho can open, how, and how you get out in an emergency.
05Installation and testingDone by our technicians, with final tests.

We check these points on the real project before proposing a door.

How we work

  1. Site survey and confidentiality: we sign a confidentiality agreement before receiving documents or floor plans.
  2. Risk scenario: we decide with you the threat to consider and the level of protection.
  3. Written proposal: product, level, frame, work on the wall, lock and timing.
  4. Installation and testing: carried out by our technicians, with opening, closing and connection tests.
  5. Handover: instructions for use and the manufacturer's documentation.

Together with alarm and access control

The door works with the alarm, cameras and access control: it reports openings, records and authorises. See professional alarm systems, video surveillance and access control.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a ballistic door cost?

The cost of a ballistic door depends on the level of protection, the size, the type of lock, the frame, the installation and the work on the wall. After the site survey NetCom prepares a written, made-to-measure proposal.

What is a ballistic door?

It is a door that, in addition to resisting break-in, withstands gunfire at a declared level. NetCom supplies doors at BR5 and BR6 level.

Is a ballistic door the same as a security door?

They are two different doors: the security door protects against break-in, the ballistic door adds bullet resistance. A ballistic door normally also has break-in resistance.

How is the level of protection chosen?

It is chosen on the basis of the risk scenario and the function of the room. We define it together during the site survey and write it into the proposal.

Is the door enough, or is something else needed?

The rest is needed too: frame, wall, glazing and fixings must have a suitable level. The result of the whole depends on installation and testing, which we do ourselves.

Can it be installed in an existing villa or office?

Often yes: it depends on the wall, the opening, access and working space. The site survey tells whether the room can be adapted or whether work is needed.

Do you also work outside Verona?

Yes, throughout Italy and, on a project basis, in Europe.
