Safe rooms, panic rooms and bunkers: where we work in Italy

NetCom Security Group

Safe rooms, panic rooms, bunkers and vaults throughout Italy: Verona, Milan, Turin, Venice, Bologna, Florence, Rome, Costa Smeralda. Confidential site visit anywhere.

For the full picture, see safe rooms and panic rooms.

NetCom Security Group designs and builds, with its own technicians, safe rooms (panic rooms), bunkers and vaults throughout Italy, for villas, penthouses, historic residences and second homes. Our office is in Negrar di Valpolicella (Verona); we carry out the site visit anywhere, within a few days, in confidence.

Every territory raises different questions: a lakeside villa can also be reached from the water, a stone farmhouse has walls that help the envelope, a house in Sardinia is lived in three months a year. Below you will find what changes in the areas where we work most often. If your house is elsewhere, the same method applies: write to us and we will arrange the site visit.

Verona, Valpolicella and Lake Garda

This is our home. Villas in Valpolicella and the hills, residences in the historic centre of Verona, houses on the Verona and Brescia shores of Lake Garda. We know the constraints of historic centres, the old floor structures, the terraced gardens of the lake. For a secure room in a villa start from the page safe rooms and panic rooms; for the area read Lake Garda, Valpolicella and historic centre.

Lakeside villa with private jetty

Milan, Brianza and the Lombard lakes

Penthouses in the centre, villas in Brianza, houses on Lake Como and Lake Maggiore. In apartment buildings we work on partitions and weight; in villas the room is created near the bedrooms. The dedicated pages: safe rooms and panic rooms in Milan and safe rooms and panic rooms on Lake Como.

Pool of a villa in the hills

Turin, Monferrato and Langhe

Villas in the Turin hills and historic houses between Monferrato and Langhe, often with cellars and basements that become the natural place for the protected room. Dedicated page: safe rooms and panic rooms in Turin.

Coastal villa with private beach

Venice, Treviso and the North-East

Palaces on the water with old floor structures and access from the canal, Venetian villas along the Brenta Riviera and in the Marca Trevigiana, business families in Padua, Vicenza, Udine and Trieste. Dedicated page: safe rooms and panic rooms in Venice and Treviso.

Villa on a private island

Bologna, Modena and the Riviera

Villas in the hills, houses of business families between Modena, Reggio and Parma, where the secure room often also holds a collection; second homes on the Riviera. Dedicated page: safe rooms and panic rooms in Bologna.

Historic residence with tree-lined drive

Florence, Chianti and Tuscany

Stone farmhouses in the hills, villas in Versilia and the Val d'Orcia, listed residences, owners who live in Italy only part of the year. Dedicated page: safe rooms and panic rooms in Florence and Tuscany.

Interior of a safe room

Rome, the Castelli and the coast

Villas on the Appia and the Cassia, at Olgiata and EUR, penthouses in the historic centre and Parioli, houses in the Castelli and on the coast. Dedicated page: safe rooms and panic rooms in Rome.

Costa Smeralda and Sardinia

Isolated villas by the sea, lived in a few months a year and full of guests in summer: the island logistics are planned, our technicians stay on site for the works, communications always have a backup line. Dedicated page: safe rooms and panic rooms in Costa Smeralda.

Naples, the Amalfi Coast and the South

Villas on the Amalfi Coast and in Capri, residences in the centre of Naples, houses in Apulia and Sicily: properties often isolated or reached by narrow routes, where the design must plan transport and installation from the start. We organise the site visit with the same method as in the other areas.

The same method everywhere

  1. Confidential site visit in the house, with those who live in it.
  2. Scenario analysis and choice of the room.
  3. Design of envelope, door, air, light, communications.
  4. Integration with alarm, cameras, access control and home automation.
  5. Installation by our own technicians and testing with the family.

Safe room, bunker or vault

A safe room protects people for minutes or hours; a bunker or shelter is for days, with filtered air, and is almost always underground; a strongroom or vault holds valuables. The three needs can be combined in a single project: we decide after the site visit.

Confidentiality

We sign a non-disclosure agreement before receiving floor plans or documents. Our clients' homes remain confidential, even after the works.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a panic room cost?

The cost of a panic room, in the experience of NetCom Security Group throughout Italy, depends on the size of the room, the level of protection of the envelope and the door, the air, light and communication systems and the building works needed in the house. After the site visit NetCom prepares a written bespoke proposal.

Is a safe room tax-deductible in Italy?

In part it can be: anti-theft works, such as armoured doors and reinforcements, are among the measures admitted by the Italian Revenue Agency. For expenses in 2026 the deduction is 50% for the owner's main home and 36% in other cases, up to 96,000 euros per property, in ten annual instalments. The specific case must be checked with an accountant.

Do you carry out site visits throughout Italy?

Yes. NetCom is based in Negrar di Valpolicella (Verona) and arranges the site visit anywhere in Italy within a few days; by project we also follow houses in Europe.

Who does the work outside the Veneto?

Our own technicians: NetCom designs, supplies, installs, connects to the system and tests, even in Sardinia or Sicily, organising travel and site works. Structural works are signed off by licensed professionals.

Can a panic room be built in a listed historic house?

Yes, in many cases: the protective envelope is hidden behind the original surfaces and the door is integrated into the furnishings. Constraints and permits are checked at the site visit.

Do you also work for owners who live abroad and have a house in Italy?

Yes: we follow the project remotely with images, video calls and presence on site, in Italian, English and German, and hand over the written procedures to the family and the household staff.
